淡水パールは、川や湖で育つイケチョウガイなどの二枚貝が作る生体由来の宝石です。炭酸カルシウムと有機質の層が重なって独特の光沢を生み、ライス、ポテト、ドロップなど多様な形があります。硬度が低く水分や油分、摩擦に弱いため、使用後は柔らかい布で手入れするのが適しています。
