ターコイズは、銅とアルミニウムを含む含水リン酸塩鉱物で、空色から青緑色を示します。乾燥地域の銅鉱床周辺で形成され、網目状の母岩模様が入ることもあります。多孔質で油分や水分を吸収しやすいため、色や耐久性を安定させる含浸処理が行われる場合があります。
