トパーズとは
トパーズは、フッ素や水酸基を含むアルミニウムのケイ酸塩鉱物で、和名を黄玉といいます。無色、青、黄、褐色、ピンクなど多彩で、モース硬度は8です。一方で一方向に完全な劈開を持つため、強い衝撃で割れることがあります。色を整えるため加熱や照射処理が行われる場合があります。
