ブルーレースアゲートは、淡い空色の地に白いレース状の縞模様が入るアゲートです。微細なクォーツ結晶が集まったカルセドニーの仲間で、地下水中の成分が岩の空洞や割れ目に層状に沈殿して形成されます。模様や色合いには個体差があり、モース硬度は6.5～7です。
